Have you delivered to someone famous

When I worked at a woodyard Frank Bruno came in and bought a load of fencing from us, really nice guy and had a good laugh with him. Used to get a few West Ham footballers in too.

When I was working for the piling firm, our lot did a retro basement swimming for Roman Abramovich I did a couple of loads to his sizeable gaff.

Hmmmm let me see :unamused:
Jon Pertwee, nicest of them all. Anthony Hopkins, Dickie atinborough, jeremey Irons twice when he was involved in RTA’s, Prince andrew (helped him pull stuff out of windsor castle when it was on fire), Rowan atkinson (put his car out when it caught fire), chauffered Raymond Blanc when he lost his licence for a year, Tim Rice, Sir Alec Guinness, and his mum! Fernando alonso and flipping Massa, AC/DC, Debra winger and a few others who i can’t remember
Flew with ulrika johnsson to Stockholm business class, she was just married, and the way they argued, I think they were already heading for divorce!

Yes

The Osbornes (Sharon & Ozzy), Angelina Jolie (stood in her living room waiting for a parcel), Linford Christie, Vernon Kaye, Angela Ahrendts (boss of Burberry) Ahem…Des O’Connor.

Have met them all not just delivered to them

Denis F:

And if it does, can I claim Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Mark Lamarr & Badly Drawn Boy? They were all at an album launch party I went to for Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze), a couple of years ago. SEB particularly was great to meet, absolutely beautiful in the flesh, and a really nice person to talk to as well.

Gary

When I delivered for Ikea, I was working in the yard at Ikea store waiting for adhoc deliveries, my boss came in and said I can go home. Then one of the yard boys came in and said look at the ■■■■ on her. We all looked at the counter and this tiny bird with massive norks was looking at us perving. It was Lindsey Dawn McKenzie. She wanted a delivery now only ten minutes from the yard in Carshalton. My guv the plank said, “sorry love all the drivers have gone home”, in I jumped “its alright I will do it” She was well chuffed. Jumped in the van only a wardrobe and a chest of drawers, got to hers before she did, and she let me in, only to find some massive geezer standing there, gutted, thought me and my mate were going to get a special tip lol!

Good girl she gave us £35 for our trouble, she is getting on now but I still would! :stuck_out_tongue:

Check out some of her “movies” on you…!

Not delivered TO celebrities. But when chauffeuring, delivered celebrities!

+1 When I was taxi biking. Lenny Henry is a big bloke to have on a bike. And he’s not very funny to talk to either

He is an arrogant ■■■ in real life. :unamused: Mind you, I’d be a miserable cant, if I hadn’t got near the biscuit tin for 20 odd years!

I delivered the driving school car to Sonia in Eastenders

Went to pick up Marti Pelo’s ( wet wet wet ) car for repair and we had a talk about his cars and then he asked his house keeper to make us bacon rolls and coffee very nice guy.

4 years to make your first post■■? Well that’s your cherry gone now so don’t be a stranger! :grimacing:

Only celebrity delivery was to Paul Shane of Hi-de-Hi fame, 2 crates of personal effects that had to be unpacked on the back of the truck! Didn’t even get a coffee from him…

Eating a meal in a motorway service area had a tap on the shoulder and guy said “Mind if I join you”, it was Simon Gregson, Steve McDonald in Corrie. He was on his way back from watching England playing Portugal in Lisbon.

Before truck driving I was a cabbie and one of my regulars was Vera Lynn, lovely lady she is too and always invited me in for a coffee if it had been a long trip.

He’s probably content, with not getting peppered with ■■■■■■ replies like the rest of us!

notts dave:
served Brian Blessed when i worked at motorway services.

Did you wear ear muffs that bloke is LOUD!!

Moved Heather Small from the M People into the house next door to Cliff Richard. Waiting on Keys and Cliff pops his head out and invites us in for a cup of tea whilst we waited. He was a bloody nice bloke.

Moved Johnny Herbert (F1) down to a penthouse in Monte Carlo many moons ago.

Delivered a part load to Pavarotti’s gaff somewhere in the arse end of nowhere outside Rome

Recently moved Ross Brawn (F1) from a mansion in Cornwall

Do a lot of work for Cherie Lunghi (kenco coffee ads)

Moved Matt Le Tissier the footballer around the New Forest

Was involved in removing the furniture from Windsor Castle when the large fire happened back in the 92. There is footage sometimes shown on the discovery channel or one of those with one of our guys carrying a painting into the back of the van with the fire in the background. Painting was worth several million and there wasn’t even a blanket round it!!

Moved the former vice chairman of Volvo trucks to Sweden. He wasn’t best pleased when we turned up in 2 Toplines  Showed us his private collection of Volvo prototypes which never made it to production tucked in a barn on his land.
