While I’m on, how do you do the “quote box” in a reply?

Click the quote button on the post you want to quote.

The post you want to quote will appear. In that box the word quote is boxed in with [ and ] symbols. You can right click your mouse and delete anything you want to edit from the post between the two [ symbols. Click on the preview box to see what your post will look like and edit any spooleeing mostookes oot.

Hope that makes sense.

I always thought it was 50mph for a class 1 on a dual carriageway so it’s 60 then?

s’ok i’m losing the plot, trying to reply to the first page :unamused:

I’ve always thought 70 mph was for motorways only. A roads are generally regulated by various signs and even a ‘national speed limit applies’ sign has the caveat of being for that ‘type of road’ and not meaning 70 mph? That’s what I learned when took my test years ago or has it changed.

One of the lads where I work got done for speeding in the sprinter not long back. Doing 68 on a dual carriageway not realising that he was ment to be doing no more than 60. Held his hand up took the points and the fine. A couple of weeks later he got a letter from DVSA/VOSA whatever incarnation they are this month, telling him that as a “professional driver” he should know better etc etc. It went on to state that any infringements like speeding by a professional driver went before the traffic commissioner who would decide whether an extra penalty like a 30 day suspension could be levied. So be careful.
