One for Dennis - who did M Woodhouse haul for?
When I was fairly close to MW snr. they ran quite a varied tipper operation that was spread across all aspects of bulk tipping, some running out of the local quarries with low sided bodies and loaded back with sand for tarmac production, and the other part of the fleet ran with high bulker trailers and hauled all manner of material, coal coke ,pig iron, scrap, animal food, grain as well as specialsed limestone products.MW had traffic all over the UK and didn’t run empty very much, anywhere.MW snr told me that after the financial battering he took when Millom Iron went into liquidation he vowed never to be as dependant on single customer again and since that time he never was!
