I was pulled on the hard shoulder for a tacho check. so unlawful on both counts as they shouldn’t stop you for a random tacho check.
Phil, If you are going to bull ■■■, use something believable, You would never get a random pull on the HS, just for a tacho check.
Keep the bullpoo coming Phil its so entertaining.LOL :rol.
LOL think you to need to see the bull ■■■ detector, Have been pulled twice on the M6 around Preston and kept on the hard shoulder while the checks were carried out and also on the A1 southbound just past Weatherby services

I could only sit through 4 minutes of that before having to turn it off, so if there is some amusing twist at the end like he’s an off duty or something then I apologise. For those 4 minutes though all I could think is that a bullet would be perfect for that vermin, and no I’m not talking about the police. Couldn’t do it, couldn’t work around those sort of people everyday, and we wonder why police have an attitude? If I had to deal with a ■■■■ like that and had to let him go with both knees intact, the next person I stopped would probably get a bit of attitude aswell.

Cop checked had my weight plate in cab and downloaded dig card and said he just checking mileage against driving times. He signed print out and off I went. On hard shoulder for prob 10mins if that. He was just coming off night shift and prob bit bored as I was only vehicle on Motorway.

Just because it has never happened to you dosn’t make it BS.
I got pulled onto the HS between gates 37 and 36 on the M1 back in 2001 for both a tacho and VOSA check. The snowflakes were fluttering down and I was pulled in about 2 miles before gate 36, the copper got in my cab while the VOSA man had a tap arround underneath. The copper thought that it was a daft idea as VOSA had a checkpoint just off 36 on the A61 but he stopped in the cab until the VOSA guy had finished, apparently they were targetting tipper’s so I was glad that I cleaned my lights before leaving Barnsley and got a clean bill of health. They let me pass them and stopped on the HS waiting for their next ‘victim’, barmy if you ask me but there you go, they call the shots!
Well all I can say is if you get pulled on the HS for a non emergency , take the coppers collar number and report it.
We know theyre a law unto themselves , but it needs to be stopped.
If I ever get pulled, (only happened twice, once in the car for a blown tail light and once in the truck because I left my rear numberplate at a drop, in a rigid! long story) I will acknowledge that I have seen they are pulling me with a flash of the lights, but I will keep going until I think it is safe to stop. There is usually a layby or a junction near by, especially now they are installing managed motorways everywhere.
I may have been lucky with the coppers but they don’t seem to mind, providing you drop in behind them in the inside lane and show that you are complying.
Don’t forget that you have the right if tugged to refuse to stop until you get to a police station. You are responsible for your safety and if you ain’t happy, don’t stop.

The Hard shoulder is alledgedly only for Emergencies,.
Is it illegal then for the police to pull someone on to the shoulder for say a numberplate offence? Which is not exactly an"emergency", Surely they should take you off the m’way to a layby, or service area.
I got pulled last week in my car on the way to work, on the m6 between 31 and 29 about 07:15
Got out the car through the passenger side and walk up to the police car
was offered a seat in the back of the car as they do!!!
ANPR had come up on the car saying it had no insurance showing■■?
Had the documents with me as always to prove i am insured to drive anything ■■?
while i was in the police car, i asked the officer if we could move off the motorway
because as a driver i have seen loads of crashes with vehicles that have been stopped on the hard shoulder
some of them fatal and i don’t want to become one of them!!
so as a matter of safety can we please get off the motorway while he carried out his checks,
to which he replied!!
That i needed to be quiet and he didn’t like my attitude and he would keep me there as long as it takes!!!
That told me?? was there till just after 9, till he could speak with the insurance company
Can’t see why we couldn’t pull off to a safe area?? think he was the one with the attitude…
POLICE do what ever they want when they want and if you say anything, your the one with the bad attitude
I never get out of my vehicle, let them come to you, but yes I did get stopped on the M5 a couple of months ago 2 miles from the services, madness!!!

Whilst I agree his voice and accent are irritating, he makes the Police look like a bunch of ill educated fools.
At the end of the video, they basically all leave after achieving nothing. It’s worth watching it through.
