So whats the latest Ian, any more developments ? Cant be good having yer motor off the road for this length of time, I mean its not earning you anything and you still have to pay for it. Hope you get things sorted soon.

2 new cylinder heads, Crikey, your motor I see is on an 05 plate, what on earth has caused that to go, I mean its probabaly still not run in yet! I hope DAF are looking after you!

Until July this year, I worked for a company that ran all DAF SSC’s … the oldest being just over 2 year old. I complained about mine using too much water and I reckoned the heads were gone. The local dealer said there was nothing wrong with it. Eventually, my boss blew his top at the dealer and told them to sort it. Result?? Two new heads and since then 6 of the NEW ones have been back for new heads along with seven from another firm near us who run the same motors. DAF blamed a new supplier of their cylinder heads!! Obviously, yours was one of this ‘batch’ Ian … by the way, when we getting part 2■■?
