Grease is the word

The table should always lift the trailer when coupling otherwise the kin pin boss will damage the jaws and stop the interlock bar locking out the jaws.
The boss is there to stop the pin jumping out the jaws.

Just got too much crap on your 5th wheel if the trailer belly plate scrapes it off.Its only supposed to be lubricated with grease not caked in the bloody stuff.

No, because the legs is the last thing you do whether you are split coupling, shunting, hooking up properly or whatever.
