Thanks for the update Steve. It’s good that you’re getting to spend some time at home with those you love and you’re not stuck in some hospital ward.
We’re both thinking of you daily, wishing the best for you.
Paul and Lindsey.

I’ll echo the above comments too.
Having family & friends around you at times like this must make all the difference

thanks to all for the kind words, just a quick update on my condition.
the docs are keeping me going with pills and transfusions, and i’m allowed to live at home.
i know within the next week or so everything is going to stop working inside and then i will have to head for the hospice, but until then i’m enjoying seeing amanda, my kids and grandkids every day in comfort.
good for you steve
Pleased to hear you’re getting some time with your family Steve, long may it continue.
As dieseldave said it’s good to see you posting here again
As all above have said.
Hang on in there mate.
hiya,
nice to see your still posting steve iv’e just noticed we used to be near neighbours i originate from darwen but left about 37 years ago worked for most hauliers over the other side of the hill ,nice to see you’re at home i hate hospitals but am grateful for them just wish the outcome for you had been the same as it was in my case keep your chin up mate.thanks harry long retired
Glad to see your posts .And that you are having time with your family .Hospices are one of the most warm welcoming places not neccesarily for what most people think .The standard of care because of their knowledge is the tops .They know the disease and can concentrate their efforts in ways that a busy hospital cant. The pallitive and respite care offered even for a few days at a time which is what most patients use them for can rejuvinate and strengthen the patient and their families to go forward enjoying life together. My thoughts are with you and yours.
Hello Steve, all the best for you and your family
thoughts and best wishes, pete
Blessed be Steve x

Mine too, Hope you had a good chat with George last week.
ok folks, time for an update.
when i went to the hospital last thursday my blood counts had bombed, red cell 77(from 93), whites 1.9(2.7), platelets 19(39) and neutrafils 1.4(1.
i had two bags of blood to bring my red count up and told to report in on monday.
i went in yesterday and although my reds are up to 94 everything else is still bombing, whites 1.4, platelets 14(minimum is 10) and neutrafils 0.6 which means i’m neutrapenic again, so i’m banned from public places except the hospital again(probably lucky i got let down with my ■■■■■■ to come to the do, although i was cussing on saturday night).
i’m back in for platelets on thursday but if the counts, especially the neutrafils continue down it looks like its going to get me at last.
my nurse warned me yesterday to take extra care, everytime i’ve been neutrapenic i’ve ended up back in hospital with pneumonia because the pills and my own resistance have to fight together, when i’m neutrapenic the drugs can’t do the job on their own.
looks like it’s “here we go again”, seconds out, round 3
Im sorry to hear that Steve, all the best mate, keep going youve nearly made March!!
