I know a lot of you will give a cheer when I say I am leaving Trucknet, as I have had enough of the bigotted remarks made over the years I have been a member. having survived in this game so long im sure you have realised the minority is not worth it when there are so many other decent drivers out there

Sorry you are going, Liz. Although I have never supported or opposed any of your opinions, I think it is a pity you are leaving us. You will be missed, as would any member who gave their best on here.
So that’s another one the bigots and bullies have won then.

there is some bigotted opinion on here, some of it is a bit OTT, but i’m sure most is intended to be humerous.
but if you feel the need to leave us and spend more time in the kitchen, then that’s up to you.

It’s a shame anyone feels they need to leave because of what is written by others. Some others have posted similar responses, best thing to do after these sort of things is to go back to your corner have a breather and wait for the bell for the next round and come out fighting.
If you’re tired of bigots then I suggest your only course of action would be to take up solo round the world yacht racing. Anywhere else they’re like rats, you’re never more than six feet away from one, allegedly.

Scanialady, you, along with many others are better than this place…It really is the worst forum I go on and I go on lots of them....Boats, canoes, BMW, Mercedes, Jag, Mack, Buell, Rhodesian Ridgebacks....And a Pilots forum, this one is by far the most small minded, petty place on the net....Shame really, as it could be so much better, but I guess we are looking at a small cross section of the industry.....Thank god. It is probably the reason why I dont buy the magazine too…It really is negative PR for a driver that has a brain.

Going by some of your posts on here your just a typical moaning for no reason, says they’ve done it all but really havnt done jack ■■■■ driver. Theres plenty of women drivers in this industy who just get on with the job, not you though, you have to make a point of it everytime you open your mouth!

I’m a bloke and I can understand exactly why she’s leaving. I only joined a short while ago and I’ve made a few posts, made a few comments and had some very helpful information and advice but I’ve also seen the other side of the forum. It would seem that a small minority of people on here just enjoy slating anyone and everyone because they can get away with it. It’s such a shame because a bit of light humoured banter can help keep a post interesting but when it gets personal and aggressive it just ruins the whole thing. I hoped after agreeing to the terms and conditions of this forum that the number of idiots would be kept down by the admin team but this doesn’t seem to happen so I’ll be leaving too. If I want abuse or grief I can get that any day of the week out on the road from car drivers, cyclists etc but to see it on here so often just makes me wonder why truck drivers have such a bad name!
What a waste of what could really be a fantastic drivers aid.
