I visited today, twas the first time for me, the model room was superb and too much too buy, I have to say I was disappointed at the amount of Lorries, there were some really nice ones for sure, just not that many of them! Oh and I did see some thieving scroat get caught red handed nicking stuff!
Also visited today, the rain kept the dust down
30% more Tarmac made the show more spread out, them pesky steel boys had 65 on the run I understand and had the " top yard" us Brits don’t like the rain so indoors was a tad busy.
Quite some investment by the site, can’t wait for the Retro Truck Show in September.
Did the thief have a tea stall
I was expecting more lorries I suppose! You are not wrong about the tea stall tho! No the scroat was upstairs nicking stuff from the model area, which as Robert said, was bloody good!

The model show was a cracker, by the way. I hope someone with a better camera than me can do it justice on here. Robert
Robert I really appreciate the pictures of the Transcon & Tilt. What a fantastic example of a favourite truck. Nice work. Adrian

a little cracker now becoming hard to find, as most have been exported or cut up…

I can’t recall ever seeing a BRS LAD cabbed Octopus so might this one have been an ex Shell Mex motor and which engine and back end would have had, Leyland 600 and the Albion axles maybe ? Cheers Bewick.

It certainly sounded like an 0.600. I do remember LAD-cabbed Leyland tractive units on BRS. Perhaps someone’ll wade in here! Robert

Minsterley motors, Pentons, Cadwallader, Pritchard Bros (Anglesey) were all regular F88 sights for me on the A5 at Weston on my normal early morning run to North Wales with Unipart car spares in the late 70’s early 80’s, I had a lowly Guy big j at the time and was amazed by these exoctic motors from another planet

Bet we used to pass each other every morning as we were going to the Midlands
WE used to call the A41 “THE GOAT TRACK” .
