I just took delivery of the Tom Tom Professional 6250 today. I plumped with Tom Tom partly through familiarity and partly tthrough the fact that I’ve not been let down by them previously although admittedly I do look at routes in advance on Google and with a truckers atlas and then cross reference the route on a satnav and amend if needed.

Interested to see how other devices compare though.

How much did you pay for the 6250 mate?

£379 but with lifetime maps/traffic/cameras etc.

Yeah it’s a lot but I thought sod it lol

This is my problem with these sat navs. At half that you would maybe accept a few shortcomings.

At that price it should be ■■■■■■■ flawless. I was one of the lucky ones who got a 6200 off a link off here for £149.

A better nav than the garmin but still far from perfect.

What Garmin model did you have and when did you get it?

Good choice mate , ten times better than that co pilot crap that the tramp is pushing
he only joined this forum to push his product

And here he is, like clockwork. your’e getting boring M8, I am not pushing anything although you seem to be pretty hooked on what the TomTom advertising mob tell you.

The one you are belatedly reviewing. I got it May 2015. It packed in 18 months later.

Ok well that is good to know, I like to hear two sides to every review I do. I do realise though that out of the hundreds of thousands that get sold, there will always be the bad story to be heard with anything. Although someone who has had a positive experience will agree with a good review. That said, I like to hear about the good and the bad. I look towards seeing more positive reviews than there are bad ones to determine how good and accurate one particular review is. I do know that this DZL 770 has more good reviews than bad, Garmin lead the way in SatNav technology and this particular one is their flagship, so will be interesting.
