Just a suggestion but the truck accessory suppliers know they have a captive audience so price accordingly.
I would suggest looking through some web sites of Caravan fiters and Inland Waterways Marine Chandlers to see if the 12/24v kit they supply is any more competitive, I have found some real good deals for narrowboat kit just by shopping around.

you can get the engel system in any decent truckstop in mainland europe, and also the prices are about 2-4% above those of the coolmatic range. both systems are good and will go down to -18/-22 :C
SO that means you will all ways have cool drinks inthe hot weather.
and the food stays fresh and eatable in the summer months.
Of course those old m/e hands will remember the old ICE-BOX which a
lot of the drivers used to use . this system was a insulated box fitted on the trailer and before i put my big foot in it lets have one of the old hands on to explainthe systemand its good points as i still see it even today on a few trailers from Turkey or Iran when spotted in germany.
