Free WiFi access

If your running from Cherbourg on the n174 just before you get on the a84 there is the routiere on the left with the as24, that has free wifi access.

There is also the services on the way down from Limoges. About an hour south. Cant remember what they are called, but its the ones you can access from both sides. Think it might be a total. When you pull in if you pull up on the left by the car petrol pumps you can pick up the free wifi without even having to get out your cab.

KW:
Esso station Seligweiler,just off the A8,junction 63-Ulm Ost,has free wi-fi.
But,it’s worth stopping there for the pizza’s,the best I’ve ever tasted outside of Italy. They make them right there in front of you,and you can have two quarter slices of any variety for around €2,80,24 hours a day,7 days a week.

Would that be the one that’s signed AUTOHOF off the A8■■?

That’s the one. (I’ve highlighted the details already supplied by KW :stuck_out_tongue: )

Quite a few autohofs seem to be starting to have free Wi-Fi, usually with a sign up inside.
My laptop is too old to have Wi-Fi built in and I don’t want to spend half my time off ‘on the net’, so haven’t bothered to get a wi-fi card so far. As a result I haven’t been paying much attention to who has and who hasn’t got it. I’ll try and pay more attention from now on, however I’m confident that the Autohof Guide booklet will have a column for wi-fi either this year or next.

If you get an ipod touch you can carry it around and find free wifi without having to fire up your lappy.

Do you have to have wifi in order to get apps on the iPod touch? I don’t have wifi in my house, but I was wondering if it’s possible to get the apps on my computer and then download them from my computer onto the iPod touch using a cord. I want the iPod touch, but there’s really no point in getting it if I need wifi for the apps. I can’t figure it out anywhere. Please help.

Yes if you set up an iTunes account and download them to your pc you can sync your device and it will transfer them the same way music is transferred. Hope this helps.

disconnect the underpowered indoor antenna from its base and attach the outdoor one using a shorter version of this:

the blue indoor antenna connects to your laptop using USB and comes with an installation CD
