Just fill it with hot water, then you can use it to make emergency soup or pot noodle as well.

tut tut you give a man a bit of cleaning advice on how to look after of his rubber and keep it clean and i become the ■■■■ of the joke  seriously keep it screwed tight on and you wont get much leakage.

Stale stewed tea out of a flask?
Why not buy a gas bottle and kettle? Brew a proper cup of tea.

Bug is currently doing agency work, so I guess he wouldn’t want to lug a kettle and gas bottle about each day.

I found the i wore my rubber out after six months funny too, had a wee chuckle to myself

I thought all flasks would have been of the stainless unbreakable sort now?
Now the big problem is,we have several stainless flasks in the house, that we are about to throw out as we can’t find anywhere that can supply the seals, they appear to be as rare as the proverbial. It seems a shame to dump a perfectly good flask for the sake of a seal. But in this throw away society…

The only stainless ones i can find in town are 1 litre things, and they cost a bomb. The way i go through coffee, i need the biggest i can find. I got a 1.8 litre Thermos flask for £9, i just have a habit of dropping them
