I flash. If you have a problem with me flashing then just ignore me. You might not need it but there are other drivers out there who appreciate a little courtesy.
I flash to let a driver know that I am prepared/happy for him to move in front of me. Then he knows that I am not going to speed up or do something equally stupid and annoying.
There are times when its not necessary. You gotta judge the situaion you’re in at the time.

Sorry Ian, but this doesn’t come with the job any more . I wonder if they sell it in Tesco’s, along with tins of common sense and common courtesy I think it could be a winner

Fair play to you, Thats why theres 4 categories, and for the record I voted for the last one. Just a point here, some might well need it, but if they still do after a few weeks behind the wheel, they must need some special glasses or summat! God knows how they get on passing cars and stuff that dont flash them, or even when in their cars, the most of it is just daft habit, and thats all as far as I can see. When its needed, I’ll flash.
