Dover/Dumpkerque is a now of the split break list, as the couchette’s have now been replaced by a room full of reclining chairs which dont recline very far…

I don’t see how it could ever have been on it. You need to have access to proper facilities and the fact they had half a dozen silly massage recliners would certainly not qualify.

But those 12 massage recliners did qualify, whether we like it or not they did. I have been pulled both sides of the water and asked about split breaks and what crossing ive used(nearly always NL/DFDS) and theyve never questioned it. Had i said Do/Cal then it would have been different im sure.
My old boss thought it was ok to arrive at the port after a 15 hour duty, and board a ferry to make a rest, when no bunk or couchette is available.

That doesn’t mean the massage things were acceptable, just that the police or VOSA did not know what they were talking about. Had they ever been on the vessel & inspected them I am sure they would come up with a different conclusion. How many traffic plod in Kent actually know where Dunkerque is?
This is not a cabin or a bunk or couchette imho. There are only 12 on the ship and about 50 lorry drivers
