One from Scotland loading out of one of our local quarries boris.Sorry I haven’t got a side view.I still think their moters are smart.
One from this area Mid Wales. I always think their vehicles look distinctive.
Larkins from the Droitwich area.
Best ever is Pollock Scotrans (game over) although the Irish lads aren’t to shabby either !
hiya,
I always liked the light /dark blue liveries eg Gallachers with proper signwritten graphics.
thanks harry long retired.
boris:
After a recent visit to Scotland i couldn’t fail to notice how much more colourful a lot of Scottish hauliers vehicles were in comparism to Englands& a shame that many companies now just use plain ‘white’ with maybe a door sticker for identification
So how about a thread about your favourite company liveries & maybe some pics of them

You are right about the Scottish liveries Boris but white is creeping in everywhere, I bet you would have had Pollocks down as a good livery. At the other end of the country there are still some nice looking wagons in Cornwall.
I always thought the Scots lorries looked smarter when they still used traditional paintwork and signwriting, I can see the attraction of wraps but a well painted truck will look better.
I was thinking about a thread like this for some time, here is one of my favorites.
Always liked Jock McBean’s and Thos Niven’s liveries myself. Then there were Gibbs of Fraserburgh, Andrew Wishart, T & M Catto, Wm Nicol, Kinlochbervie Fish Selling, and a whole host of others. Oh - lets not forget Steven of Wick…
Since when have Gilders been Scottish??
Nobody said they had to be Scottish did they??.
Smith and Sons old style livery, Moreton Cullimore, FG Bond and Harris & Miners/Brian Harris
what about pentons or trevor pye?
hi lads i like the color scheme on these lorries, most of the scottish and Irish drivers seem to take great pride in the motor that they drive.bumper
The Olivers livery looks nice. Not so sure about the others.
Here’s one of my all time favourites. No longer with us
Mcmurchys looks v.nice, also like Charles russells from Cheltenham
Big Sam
The Sheriff
Has anybody got any picture of the two tone green livery of Jack Watts of Carlisle? I don’t think they still exist but they used to be continental and english, a large fleet but I don’t know how many years ago now I last saw one of their trucks. I drove for them regular but lost touch as to the business. Can anybody forward any information or pictures. I am from the old school drivers, my driving life began in the London Docks (retired now), my first year in the Docks was 1971. Thanks lads, anything you can come up with!!
