ERF 'European' (1975)

How can you check if you have already put a picture on before without going through all previous pages of a thread. My memory (probably like many on here) is not what it was!.
Apologies if I have already posted this pic, can’t be bothered to go through it all. Regards Colin.

It’s a good picture Colin. Don’t worry about repeating stuff - better that than missing it out altogether! Here’s another picture of it. It is almost the same as another one on here, but much clearer and from a different angle. I’ve just acquired the photo. Robert

It was on my shortlist to make a photo-copy of the bigger overview and here it is!

Picture was made during the visit of ERF Ltd in coöperation with CDB of Brussels and
when I recall correctly somewhere in 1978.

Enormous thanks for posting that, A-J! It is one of my favourite NGC pictures - ERF pictures even. Indeed I was very grateful for your posting your original version of in on the early pages of this thread. They say ‘every picture tells a story’ and this picture tells a few stories! Robert

At the last Shepston Mallet Truckfest in 2012. Appears earlier in the thread also.

In view of Pat Kennett’s comments upon the gearbox and clutch-brake in the Euro-Test ERF NGC; and subsequent discussions earlier in this thread on the subject, I thought it might be pertinent to post this article of his called Clutch Brakes. In it he even mentions ERFs of the NGC ilk. Robert

My doctor gave me a clean bill of health this week. I thought you’d like to see this X-ray of my heart. Robert

Hello Paul! I’d rather have your weather than mine now that winter’s set in. There’s plenty about that lorry in your pictures on this thread. According to ‘ERF-Continental’, it was bought by a Dutchman, one hopes for restoration and not scrap; but it has gone off the map since then. Earlier, Frenchman Philip Methurin sent me info on it and it has a 290 ■■■■■■■ and 13-speed Fuller. Robert

Hey, maybe in good condition but too heavy on ( Belgian brown) fuel too wheel a vehicle today.

Eric,

Unfortunately no news on the ‘last’ known existing NGC…as usual restoring takes a lot of time
after one has been very keen to start…it will show/pup up somewhere…I hope!

I do appreciate that you are as keen as I am to see this lorry re-surface intact one day. We’ll just have to trust the process! In the mean time, I can report that Lorries of Arabia: ERF NGC is making good progress through the publishing system and the nearly finished product is looking good! Season’s greetings to all. Robert

Good news for the first months in 2015 then! Though no news from Gruwez on the ERF NGC that
heavy transport company had, I found a Krupp (life was hard!!!) on the internet.

This French-registered unit, 7650DA93, remains a bit of a mystery. Robert

Remember this old 4MW of Pountains with right-hand drive, that eventually acquired a 7MW cab (along with a 350 lump to go with its 15-speed Fuller?..

…And which turned blue…

…which still didn’t make it an ERF NGC! Well this is what became of it…

…it went to Ravenscraig to be operated by Weir. Robert

A pic I took the summer before last. Robert

Absolutely! From what I can gather, much of the container traffic out of Port Jeddah was heavy. Robert

Spot the CAMEL ERF NGC in this picture!
