Thanks for the link but I’m sure I’ll never be able to tell them apart, I have enough trouble with my daughters
I’m sure many of us can relate to that. When I wanted one of my kids, I used to go through two daughters’, a son’s and the family dog’s names.
Tell me about it SDU! I’d got 4 daughters n 2dogs

I know this as ERF on her but what was it? Was it assembled at Sandbach?

The ES6 & ES6 replaced the M-series rigid in the late '80s. Operators didn’t need the big SP cab so ERF imported this smaller cab from Steyr in Austria. They would have been assembled in Sandbach I would think. They were fitted with ■■■■■■■ B & C engines.

Not seen that picture of it before. 5MW cab. Here’s another pic of it, by Peter Davies.

Looks like a late 4MW-cabbed ERF
My old mate Jim Goodwin’s son Anthony from Alsager drove the ERF four wheeler, his dad’s own one was a little more embelished!
NMPPete.
There’s an old test of an ERF with a Detroit engine in last weeks Commercial Motor from 95 or 96. It was a test vehicle not production but gave a good account of its self

I’m sure you realise that there was at that time a Detroit production model - the EC127; apparently quite frugal!

Well the intro states " Will ERF decide to offer the 60 series in the Uk?". The photo you posted looks very similar to the one in CM
