Your quite correct David the Fiats were crap same as the IVECO’s that they have morphed into but the Scanias were the “creme de la creme” in my later years in the industry and no doubt they still are and are head and shoulders above Iveco’s. I reckon you can buy 3 IVECOS for the price of two Scanias so that should be a good pointer that you only get what you pay for ! Cheers Dennis.

Only Bewick could get away with turning an ERF thread around to include pics of Scanias

I don’t think it’s Bewick, no ropes or sheets - someone has hijacked his login.

Very sorry Lads to have “naused” up the thread ( which I started ) with Sed Atk’s and Scanias ! it won’t happen again unless, of course, I come across a decent shot of an ERF with a tidy sheeted and roped load ! Cheers Dennis.
Great pic!
I must say, I completely respect that point of view made in last point, having driven some really excellent Scanias (including a trip to Turkey in an elderly beast). My preference for ERFs of that era is entirely personal and strictly from the point of view of the driver.
Pic I took on a round trip to France & Belgium:
Another good-looking C-series.
Sorry about the Sed Atks in the picture
