I am not sure what I could of done any different.
Thereâs not much you can do. You can try and bungee them up but it doesnât always solve the problem.
We got a dozen DAF CFs 2yrs ago and the first thing us drivers pointed out was the Susies werenât on A Frame. It was obvious to us that we were going to get problems with Susies getting caught under the trailer or on the ratchet handles. Apparently it would have cost an extra ÂŁ300 per truck to have an A Frame fitted so they never bothered. I reckon they probably regret that decision now, because I honestly think that thereâs not a day goes by where a Susie doesnât get ripped off on one of the DAFs. They must have spent a lot more than ÂŁ300 on every truck between new Susies and a fitters call out to repair them. They ended up getting those poles that tippers have got bolted onto the catwalk to hold up their hydraulic hose fitted, but most of them have been ripped off now.
I ripped the red line off on my last driving job. Not just the line, but the fitting snapped off. It was all hanging on one of those stupid springy things. Usual thing, ratchet caught it and whammo.Couldnât repair it myself cos I didnât have a fitting. Shudder to think what it cost for the call out.

Circumstances forced me into doing a couple of really sharp U turns during last nights shift
If youâre in that situation again just disconnect all the lines, hit the shunt button and do what you gotta do. What will probably only cost you less than 5 minutes would save you all this hassle.

Ahhh that what the shunt button does then, never used it before but that does sound like a good idea!

a Steering-wheel Attendant calls the Workshop
Just ask or google for it
Other drivers pilot a wagon run by ARI and cannot even buy Adblue in a petrol station, much less replace a bulb.
