I have just recieved a note back from the department who runs the network ads,

They wil be pausing the Google ad campaign on here as soon as possible, and getting the ads concerned excluded from showing on here. They have a meeting with Google later this week and this will be one of the items discussed.

I would like to thank them for getting in touch with me on a Sunday (Their day off) and for getting into the office early today to see what they can do about this as soon as they possibly could.

I notice the criticism, that came about over the weekend when most of RBI staff are at home and off wprk… I also note those that criticised are very quiet to day when action has been taken …

I also notice the more vocal amongst them fail to recognise we have adressed the issue and taken steps

Would it break you hearts to say thanks to the marketing team , some of who gave up their Sunday off work to get this sorted, or is it just to easy to criticise and not aknowledge the response.

The “difficult” Google ads are gone as of first thing this morming…

As any comments about “the more vocal” are usually directed at me I’d just like to say… nothing, as I never saw the much complained about ads due to the aforementioned ad blocking stuff. I just like to stick my oversized oar in whenever you are in the firing line for something-or-other .

I’m the same as Rob in that I use an ad-blocker thingy and so I also never saw the offending ads in the first place, but I’d like to say fair play and thanks to the folks who gave up their Sunday to get the problem sorted.

Thanks for your efforts Rikki as I posted I was certain that at the time you were unaware.

IT was a bit of a shock seeing those adds on trucknet though.
