Driving whilst having a cold

Instead of having time off because you’ve got a cold, try getting a cold when you’re having time off. Unfortunately it seems to work for me. :frowning:

I have to work as I’m self employed.
I take medication & crack on.
Only had one day off due to a dose of the Flu.

If you only took one day off, it wasn’t 'Flu…

We are doomed…

I have Dettol wipes in the cab to clean the steering wheel and anywhere else that gets splattered when sneezing if that helps?

Do they get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke , from the steering wheel ?

Absolutely speechless

Oh dear…

I broke a nail earlier. Is that a week off using the fanny scale?

I’m off to my safe space now so any replies don’t emotionally chafe me.

I’ve had man flu for 2 weeks now. Feel rough but still battling on. I feel worse if I sit round at home feeling sorry for myself anyway.

You clearly do not understand that “man flu” is a joke. Man flu is a phrase that refers to the idea that men, when they have a bit of a sniffle, make out that they are on their last legs and take to their beds. This as opposed to women, who soldier on regardless.

Don’t you worry, I haven’t weakened the term man flu. I’ve made a very big deal of how ill I am, it’s not just a cold you know and all the other stuff to the girls in the office so they know how brave I am to keep turning up for work. [emoji6]

Nobody ever got charged with driving whilst having a bad cold, but it makes you wonder how many folk have been maimed or killed by those drivers who were charged with dangerous or careless driving whilst they suffered one.

I remember a bike mag did a totally unscientific experiment a few years back on a rider with a mild flu & the expert onlooker reckoned the score equalled a rider more than 3x over the limit for alcohol !
