You have to have some kind of record of when you started work that day that’s why.
Just spoke to Swansea, and they are definitely aware of what’s happened, as it’s happened to me and 3 other people I know, but you must inform them that the card is not working, so they can log it, and potentially save you any grief from the Vostapo.
You have to do a manual VEHICLE print out at the beginning and end of your shift, she told me, and keep it for the 28 day period, from which you can then set fire to it.
I will be posting mine tomorrow.

I bet this has cost a few unfortunate agency drivers a lot of money, plus side is they’ve topped up their tan.
Won’t be costing me owt, as I will be telling the agency and the customers as I start work.

Eventually just got through to them and got my reference number, the card was posted this morning. It’s taken me all day to get through to someone

Incorrect, as every print out becomes a legal record and must therefore be kept by your employer for a minimum of 12 months, just like an analogue chart. You must keep a copy with you to produce at the roadside for 28 days.
Or if being used for WTD then it must be kept for 24 months

But I still prefer the first option.
