Hard luck matey, I’m sure you will pass next time! I failed my class 2, 3 times and was told to not give up, financially and my relationship with my wife it pushed me to the limit, I knew the cost was getting to he, but when I passed the feeling was amazing. I passed class 1 first time, the class 2 failures tought me something each time. Don’t give up and good luck.
I was told that if he asks you if you want to check your reversing, that he’s giving you an opportunity to check, I was also told that if he asks “are you sure thats everything?” he’s basically telling you, you have missed something lol.
Do not fear… I failed C+E the 1st time, mainly due to my positioning approaching a roundabout.
The 2nd attempt I was so much more relaxed, putting the examiner at ease, & prompting a comment from a very relaxed examiner of “youve done this before, I can tell ........" As for the coupling error, I was taught to state to the examiner, "normally at this point Id remove/replace the trailer number plate, and check the lights are working before releasing the parking brake”

Its usually the point where you should take another (maybe 2) walk(s) around the truck, take a deep breath or 2 & relax, take as long as you need, the time it takes will allow you to think “is there anything I`ve missed”
Don’t think many people pass first time so don’t beat yourself up about it you can beat yourself up when you realise what a big mistake spending all that money on a class one licence was in two years time when your social life has vanished and you wish you had spend the money on a holiday … Lol
Thanks at least this expensive stupid mistake will teach me to think more next time. Still not got a retest date yet maybe they will give me one Monday.
