Times are 3 am arrive Gurnsey and returns are 17.30 hrs ,cost £88 per metre plus £4.33 fuel surcharge per metre each way,plus £9.17 per tonne port tax on the goods ,so it’s a three day job .portsmouth will do for me.
I worked out of Guernsey for just over 4 years an one of the Allied Coaster Ships (as well as a little bit on Huelin) and the roads over there are nothing but wide pavements so therefore the width limit and mostly the highest speed you can do is no more than 20mph if you’re lucky. The company I worked for did most of the CI work under other names but as it did not concern me I never bothered with knowing the names.
