Here is a blast from the past, a gang of Southampton men most who drove for me loading in Philco Bergamo with washing machines, everyone helped each other sheet and rope then we had to thread the paper cord thru the dollys to seal when the customs came at 5pm, silly really as if it rained hard it would break ont way home. Good shower and canteen which was super cheap but not allowed in till the factory workers were done. Buzzer

Right to Left Dave Morgan RIP, Zebedee, TIR Tony Mapson RIP, not sure on no4 and Paul Nichols far left, must have been hot that day.

Three Amigo’s on R&R in Saint Martin D’Arc France, looks like fair weather to explore the local scenery and find out what’s on offer

Finally finished our first cut cropping, it’s been a long drawn out job this summer but a rest now before a bit of second cut in a week or two. Spaining mule lambs at home tomorrow with some going straight off there mothers to the auction on Tuesday.

Hi all, buzzer I think the one you could not name was a French lad that lived in Le Havre. Michelle he drove for Jackie Hogel a really nice lad they did a lot for STS I used to see him regularly in uk he went on a powder tank for Dingle dangle. He has probably retired now. Gerbil

Now then Kev you could be right, I thought it may be him and IIRC he was an OD and ran a Scania 141, he was pally with Griffo’s English office man just a few doors along from Chantelle’s cafe was his name Alan ? long time ago now, Buzzer.

Yes the English guy was Alan but the Guy in the Photo drove an Orange Daph as i say it was owned by father and son Claude & Jackie Hogel from Le Havre really nice people. Gerbil

Some of the boys tipping on to the Queen Victoria this morning in Livorno, weather looks a tad better than here this morning.

Got a mate in yesterday to do a bit of fence post bashing, a lot easier than doing it with a mallet. Put in about 30 posts before turning out the Lims to grass on Thursday. Crap pic took with me phone.

Evening Buzzer

Yes one of our lads is off to pastures new, I heard he’s had a lot of interest so we will see if any “drivers” have applied. Our sort of work is an acquired taste looking for farms in the dark, chaining and strapping in the rain etc so we will see.

Cheers Wrighty.

Hey up Wrighty these are my Lims grazing some aftermath where we made 68 bales of haylage earlier on, dont look too shabby 10 pure & 6 crosses. Buzzer

Morning John

Second one from the left has a good backside, should do well on a bit of “fog”.

Busy up ere yesterday topping some of our grazed pastures, does nearly as good a job as applying fertiliser for making the grow back…

Cheers Wrighty.

And here we have it, a collection of “Paul’s” all four of them tipping in Civitavecchia (port of Rome) today on to a cruise ship, unusual to have four Pauls together especially all working for the same company in the same place, be a while till that happens again, Buzzer
