Hi Buzzer, I could not agree more about the festive season. Hopefully it will pass quickly. Happy Christmas to you and the boss and all on this thread. Gerbil

Gathering in Tracy Island for RAR of course when I was at the helm we had several ship out over Crimbo, must have a word with young Hori & Beans, Buzzer

Had the phone call this morning emergency provisions needed at the yard for the washing down crew, the order was 9 sausage and bacon and 3 just bacon rolls all from our local NAFFI cafe.
The pic is of Paul Durham who has retired after 25 years service with us, sad to see him go as he could turn his hand to any task put in front of him. He still has all his tickets so he may be back doing a bit of holiday relief later in the year, he has a motor home and plans to do some excursions abroad without the dead lines that transport had, Buzzer

Always knew you were a really good (ex) Boss, and Paul must be a really special chap to put up with 25 years sleeping next to a rattling fridge motor. Happy retirement Paul, I can recommend it even though I only gave up on 3 years with the monster behind the cab.

You thought I was going to say ‘to put up with you’ John, didn’t you? Of course I wouldn’t say that. Perish the thought. :joy:

Going way back here Viking 1, Buzzer

Evening Buzzer

Well that’s another year nearly over and lets hope the next one is drier, had a disaster today as Alice’s youngest son landed up with some presents and duly ran over Meg our semi-retired collie. She is now residing at our local veterinary surgery having had her front leg amputated, hopefully she makes a speedy recovery in a week or two.
All quiet on the farming front at the moment just sheep to feed in the morning, then off to the farm for Christmas dinner…

I would like to wish you and your family and all at DIT a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year, and all the contributors and viewers of this thread.

lets hope 2025 is going to be a good one

Cheers Wrighty.

Wrighty seasons greetings to you all up Norf, we have not had any white stuff and do not want it either, it is exceptionally mild down here and it would be better if it was a little cooler. All the drivers are home for RAR but we did do a bash for them before they went home, most had too much liquid refreshment all paid for by the firm I might add plus a sit down meal. All trucks washed off and ready to roll in the new year, things are going to be tough with the present management we have in Whitehall but hopefully we will have another election and get some one in who does know how to sort the job out, all the best Steve to you and Alice and hope your three legged mut recovers well, Buzzer

All set for the bun fight
