Hopefully then Gazza, i,ll get to see you this year mate.
Hi Shady
It closely resembles Stevie Holland but I never thought Steve was the large
I saw Danny Williamson on Thursday & he says hi to all you ex R&G boys.
This is a link to an article that was in my local paper today about a driver who passed away recently halifaxcourier.co.uk
The Final Journey for a Lorry Lover
His wife said in the article that, Alnis Hans (Hanzy) from Halifax, last job was with ‘Davies International, Hampshire’ and he used to go away for six weeks at a time, and that he had done European work for all of his driving life.
If any of you guys worked with him I hope this hasn’t come too much of a shock, he was only 56

Thanks for taking the trouble to tell us about Alnis Hans mate.
I never knew him as i finished with Davies many years ago, as did most of the regular
contributors to this thread, however it,s tragic that he passed away at such a young age,
although it seems he had a good send off.
My sincere condolensces to his friends and family.
Regards…Tony
Hi Tony (Mappo)
Thanks for the response, I didn’t know ‘Hanzy’ personally but I think I will contact the local paper to point them in the direction of the forum to see that he has been remembered by the community he worked with all his life. It might also give his wife and family some comfort to see that even if I havn’t been able to contact any of his old driving mates he has been remembered on here.
