Recent photo of two old ex Davies drivers…
Though having said that, I believe the not so good looking one is at it again…

Richard and Angie me and the Boss and Steven went to visit friends at Ower today and after took refreshment at the Rockingham Arms in Canada. Did not know where you lived but I know it was nearby, we looked for a house with five foot ceilings but could not find one so you must be off the beaten track, cheers JD.
PS. they do a nice sandwich in that pub.

He’s gone a bit grey and it’s thinning like most of us, never had Balder’s down as a fisherman though, Buzzer.

It’s the light conditions , the camera angle and fierce South Westerly wind…
My hair is actually not grey it’s a fetching light auburn John.
Thinning?? Surely not. :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Hey Mappo… When you off to Fergie land?

Mr White ran Star car transport from West Quay road same yard as TIP, remember the pothole well lakes really in that yard and Mick was the transport manager (RIP) and did night shunts for me to Ford tractor plant in Basildon with Macpack containers, they werewell into banger racing and nearly always took 2 or 3 cars to meet’s . Dave Coombes who did there fitting also was into bangers, Buzzer.

I think the Mr White from Star car transport was Den White, I seem to remember his wife (can’t think of her name) also drove trucks and also drove at Matchams, they ran their bangers in Star company colours of blue and white. The ‘other’ Mr. White was Mike or Mick (I think) from Ringwood and I think his son runs/ran the caravan transport in later years, always had smartly turned out trucks (bit like yourself). Just once in a while I allow myself a ‘Mary Hopkin’ moment. Jake.
