These were taken on a recent trip to Venice but due to fog the boat couldn’t dock so we had to go to Trieste the next day,sunday.There was 9 of us in total but only 6 travelled on the sunday other 3 made tracks on the monday!

I saw Frankie Carson on the “love boat” out of Southampton to Cherbourg,on a NYE many moons ago,the Stenna line,with that ■■■■ waitress called Gina with long black hair.Quite a few had to park up in the port when docked,but a lot craicked on over the legal drive limit.

Time has certainly not tainted your sharp memory. The last one was Martin Rouse aka smart-mart, driving F725 RDF. Remember him well as after the famous evening in question, he ran down with Zimmer who I was with, over the top of Cenis to load Cuneo. We loaded Friday and he was weekended. Remember coming back Le Havre Saturday night and there were at least ten specials on the boat, plus the usuals. Will never forget that sailing as you did your usual trick and found out where the pigeon lorry drivers cabin was and knocked the door ‘One Hour to Port’ as we were just going to bed. Bit like the night you and Shaunee ‘clicked’ the top bunk into the ceiling on the St Malo boat when I was worse for wears on it. Have a picture of the Dijon line-up, so will do my best to scan it and get it on here. Hope all other former special caulkheads are ok. Great times, not forgotten. Take Care Bye Bye Now. P.S - Hope you are still wearing ‘Clacks’ - not ‘Truckers Choice’!!
