Here is one from last Year - Poorly motor, turbo went bang near to Le Mans on a Thursday and the Friday was a national holiday, so they weren’t interested. The garage in France could not guarantee it back on the road until the Tuesday night at best as they had no parts (the norm these days). Had it back in the UK Friday night and was fixed and back to work by the Monday morning.

This must go back a bit it’s Wee Jock who look’s remarkably tidy in this shot which believe me is an achievment by any standards and the other person is the founder of this thread Paul Who which was his nick name on here cos when he started with us going down the road he was called on the CB asking his name he replied Paul and the reply came back Paul Who as he was new and nobody knew him and this kind of stuck to this day as with many that work on Davies nicknames have been given that still stand even after leaving the company,

Called into the yard today while out driving my horses Trev made me a cup of tea and who should walk in but the bullit London Mark that is he was tipping a container nextdoor to us in Polarcold and came in for a chat . So we did a few 90’s miles and chewed the fat who was where and so on time flies don’t it. He ain’t changed much got divorced and started again but he always was a bit of a jack the lad.
Whwere gettin near the bottom of the page so posting this pic of GFC which i bought for 3k of roly ruffel from Pompy it was an ex Bowyers motor and was as clean as a whistle the paint was a dull brown but she scrubbed up lovley and really flew along as well on the bumper “she smiles at the miles” and she did. I think this pic is at a british steele works in Sheffield as we loaded a lot from there.

Hi there as i remember the only panel we replaced was one of the 3cornered one’s behind the wing which is relevently small other than that it was all good and like you say what would it be worth in that nick today. Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh!
