Cyclist jumps lights and gets wacked

If he does he could buy his own set of traffic lights and practice in his garden at stopping when they are on red…

the crossing lights facing him are green .

as ive just explained .

but i appreciate its tricky to understand for slower kiddies

How do you know he’s a slower kiddie?

Because he also uses triple line spacing and has no understanding of capital letters or punctuation…

i do this to try and help you slower kiddies understand a bit better .

dont think it works in your case so may try and develop a new approach .

maybe ill type slower and start using pictures to illustate the more complicated points for u .

The logic of your argument is illogical■■?
How would the poor use of English and punctuation assist anyone you moronic ■■■■■■?

Even the special needs kiddies know that sentences start with a capital letter…
So what’s your excuse? :open_mouth:

There’s only one slow kiddie posting on this thread. The irony being, he’s too slow to realise its actually him!

that did make me laugh

Boredwivdrivin, why dont you jump on your bike an misinterpret the lights a few times untill you get whacked an then record the phonecall an post it when you try claim from the local council because green an red lights are hard to understand. Please i beg you.

from the cyclists approach
google.co.uk/maps/@51.49228 … 312!8i6656
the junction is a bit of a mess, signs half written in welsh, a no-entry sign for bikes on the path then an arrow points for bikes to join path, then a left arrow for cyclist go followed by road signs forbidding it. Then the junction itself, what a lot of clutter that is creating blind spots. I’m not excusing the cyclist but it is one arse of a layout.
I wonder how many motorists have went right down the wrong way there.

And what would any sensible cyclist with an ounce of self preservation do?
Would they slow down and possibly stop, while they contemplate their place in the food chain as a vulnerable road user?
Or would they just carry on through thinking “I’ve got right of way because the signs are not clear”? :open_mouth:

Darwinism is alive and well…

A good effort. Excellent height, and I would rate the artistic impression well also.

However, the technique needs work. Feet need to be together at all times, including the dismount.

The driver needs points deducting too. Should have punched the cyclist a few times.

Suing the council is not as daft as it sounds.
One would not expect a cyclist to be fully conversant with the highway code, and any light setup that can potentially confuse a novice cyclist is poorly thoughtout.

Taking the moral highground (which is a strange position for me, although not as strange as the ■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ I tried the other night) it gives me no pleasure to see a young lad injured in such a way. Obviously if he was fully clad in lycra with matching helmet cam I would feel differently but then so would every other sane motorist.

All of which , he managed to miss , or chose to ignore , including the 5 , red lights which can be seen on approach .

Confusing indeed :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

i hope you dont drive on the roads with your casual observation skills !!

he is a cyclist !!

the 5 red lights apply to vehicles !!

the cycle lane enters the footpath before the traffic lights !!

the green cycle light facing him is to actually turn tight !!

the red cycle light for straight on is set at 90 degrees to his approach !!!

the crossing is at fault .

as bluey says "the junction is a bit of a mess, "

and i would add , you have proved it confuses idiots

boredwivdrivin:
he is a cyclist !!

The direction he took says any light that applied to him was on red. He just didnt look. All those red lights and he didn’t even slow down? For someone who preaches so hard about drivers needing to increase observation, your being a tad hypocritical

boredwivdrivin:
the cycle lane enters the footpath before the traffic lights !!

And? His light to enter the road was RED. who cares where the cycle lane went? He ran a red.

boredwivdrivin:
the red cycle light for straight on is set at 90 degrees to his approach !!!

He should have slowed down and looked at it carefully before barreling through it then shouldnt he. Proper observation and due care and attention. Road usage 101
Five red lights showing onhis approach and he didnt even think that that meant the opposite lights were on green and he should look to make sure it was safe? If I see a bunch of lights on red,I slow down and look to make sure the direction I want to go is showing a green (eg filter lane). He didnt even slow down

boredwivdrivin:
the crossing is at fault .

No its not. The cyclist who didnt look and watch what he was doing and take more care is at fault.
The junction is slightly more complicated than most but its hardly difficult to understand. But then im blessed with intelligence and common sense. I can see why you would struggle

boredwivdrivin:
you have proved it confuses idiots

Well you said it confuses you so yes, it does confuse idiots.

The article states he ran a red light.
If he had looked, he would have seen it was red.
Running a red light means it is your fault. End of
But dont let those facts get in the way of your half assed trolling attempts now will you

The really amusing thing is though, that if it had been the motorist who ran a red and hit a cyclist, you’d be first in the queue to have a go at the motorist and anyone who said the junction was at fault would get told by you just why it wasn’t the junction to blame and was all about driver observation.
Your hypocritical rambling trolling posts do amuse me so!!

Evil8Beezle:

This never happened did it?
We are not scoring points on grammar now are we?
You never started a grammar scoring defamatory post against someone with the word “Because”

The forum which keeps on giving.

Whenever they is a cyclist post, you can always count on Trucknets anti-cyclists Wetsack and Snowtroll to be in the mix asking why the pro cycling lobby aren’t posting.
What the hell do you want them to post you loons?
You can’t defend some idiots which may choose to use the roads, that’s why you don’t get the cycling brigade commenting on threads like this.

Me thinks there’s a lot of ■■■■■■ tension on this thread.

snowtroll . the junction is at major fault . the dude is at minor fault .

he is confused by daft cycle lane and its associated control lights . he is basically looking at wrong lights .

the cycle lights to left of no entry sign are showing green in video , umfortunately they are for turning right ,across road, not straight on his direction of travel

it is everyday event for cyclists to go on red traffic lights as cycle lights/ pedestrian crossing are then green , and vice versa .

junction would be safer with out cycle lane and associated lights here , particularly as traffic cant turn left .

as you cant ride a bike its hard for you to understand .

at least we can agree that numberplates would have made little difference here :open_mouth:

Trucknets anti-cyclists Wetsack and Snowtroll

  “no personal attacks.” Hmmmm…i seem to remember you bleating on about this not so long ago. I am big hearted enough however, to forgive you for your blend of amnesia/hypocrisy.

At the speed he was going, he WASN’T turning left as he would never had made the turn. He was looking to turn right, and the redlight would have been obvious. And as for the junction being complicated - maybe the first time you use it. The speed he was going - that wasn’t his first time through there. Deserved what he got - save your sympathy for the car driver who probably IS suffering nightmares…
