Conor:
Bottle jacks and some big blocks of wood. Jack it up.
But I want to raise the rear suspension, how is this going to do it?
You jack up the chassis at the rear or rear bumper if it’s meaty enough. It has same effect as raising the rear suspension. Christ almighty if you can’t even work that out without being told you shouldn’t be near anything with tools because you’re beyond incompetent which is probably why you scythed through the air lines.
Conor I knew you had not popped in with your reply.

If you jack it up then the suspension will go up, but if you let the jack down then the suspension will go back down with it, will it not?

Obviously. You’re going to need a decent compressor to pump the trailer up. There is no guarantee that the air won’t leak down in a matter of hours, days or weeks.
What are you trying to achieve? Why are you cutting beams out?
Without intending offence, you don’t sound like you know what you are doing and are an accident looking for somewhere to happen.
Compressed air and tonnes of steel are both potentially lethal, in combination, more so.

Well, as long as she enjoyed her “treatment” and didn’t feel ripped off I guess there’s no real harm done.
But from a scientific perspective, I suspect this company are talking out of their ■■■■■■ and would probably not pass muster with a visit from the Advertising Standards Agency.
Certainly the rest of their blurb reads like nonsense for the non-scientifically minded punter: Cryotherapy is a ground-breaking treatment, popular with celebs and top athletes—part of a futuristic new era in health and wellness. Its uses are diverse, from soothing muscular injuries and aiding weight loss, to enhancing beauty, combating the signs of ageing, and improving overall wellness. When your body is exposed to intense cold, remarkable things happen—including cellular regeneration, heightened oxygen absorption, and fat burning.
There must be some truth in it. Alan Wyn Jones talks in his biography about using a cryo chamber to speed up the recovery from the dislocated shoulder he sustained in the Lions warm up game against Japan at Murrayfield. If I remember rightly he made the 1st test against South Africa 3 weeks later. Normally that kind of injury would have kept him out of the whole tour.

Likely there is some truth in it.
Just as there is some truth in adverts for high data speeds, or high mpg cars… or well paid driving jobs!

Given this sheepish description from the OP of what was done, that hits the nail squarely on the head.
“Lets just say I did not cut the pipe to fast or hard and let it bleed slowly and then did a runner out of there fast to jack the legs up”
Reading the OP’s past posts, all of this is apparently to achieve the desired intention of abandoning a scrap trailer on some industrial estate so that the OP can live in it cheaply. It doesn’t take a wild stretch of the imagination to visualise the result after a few weeks of wind-blown rubbish accumulating under and around what will no doubt quickly become an eyesore and health hazard. That is without factoring in the storage and removal of rubbish generated by normal daily living, the disposal of washing and toilet effluent and the possible fire risk from cooking. When the authorities finally decide that they are obliged to remove the offending trailer it will be the local council tax which funds the cost, something the OP will presumambly not be contributing towards?
Well, if you’re happy basing beliefs on a segment of a sports biography, which I imagine will lack any specific details of what was done and how it was done, you might be interested in an email I received today, somebody I’ve never heard of wants to share $14.6 million with me, I’ll share that with you if we can use your bank details
I did find one “open journal” article on the subject (ie it should basically be “proper science” but it’s not the kind of work where any smart person sticks out their neck too far based on the evidence) but somehow I doubt the “spa” enforced the PPE described. Plus the benefit for the athletes seems negligible at best. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10 … JSM.S41655
At the extremely low (cryo) temperatures being mentioned here, the main legitimate (eg NHS and other professional bodies) discussion of cryotherapy involves topical applications, such as the freezing of skin lesions (warts, or other benign conditions).
People need to be aware that there’s a world of difference between having risky “treatments” performed by a trained practitioner with membership of a recognized professional body, and a similar process being done by an unregulated person working for a private company, who has probably had participants sign some kind of disclaimer without explaining the risks involved.
Like these botched Botox hypodermic-injection treatments carried out by some young person with nothing more than a BTEC in Beauty Therapy, there’s plenty of scope for some “spa” to botch a process involving extremely cold temperatures.

That’s the second time in as many days, that accusation has been leveled at me, on this forum. I’d better do a stock-take of thumbs.

That is a presumption that you are making with no knowlage of the condition of the esate or the trailer! Therefore it must have very little validity to stand an argument!
