I managed about 3 days doing that, now I leave them to flap free to their hearts content.
Did a trailer swap with a Stobart driver once. He seemed very annoyed I had left them flapping free

Its already £30 for every unbuckled strap whilst taking a trailer on the road according to a Mancunian Shunter…
Empty or not

Best you go back to the box body. VOSA and HSE are having a purge on all curtainsiders, and they have determined that the straps that go from roof to deck are “load containment” straps, and are not suitable for securing a load. They have now decided that the load HAS to be strapped to the deck…which now means on a 26 pallet load, chucking over the pallets 13 straps secured at the deck either side…deep joy…!

I think we need a driver 101 on terminology and the difference between curtain straps and curtain buckles.
Untucked straps do my noodle in. It seems no one tucks them in anymore. Every trailer I pick up has them flapping, and it annoys me so much I go round tucking them in before I depart!
Rob K:
You really do post some utter [zb] on here.
Mike-C:
You’re just posting any old crap. You’re also reporting anything you don’t like. I feel you are just posting to get a rise from other people . . . if you continue to be a concern or make more work for the team you’ll be on pre mod. Pay attention to what you are posting.
What goes around comes around. LMAO.

no no that what stobart takes off a drivers pay for every strap not tucked in and then donates the proceeds of said deductions to the mormons
