Ex Cardewlees, all operated out of Kingmoor Park now, and the white XF’s have been moved on to Burton
Hi Dave, With regard to your comment about Leyland 600 with an ERF. I operated Leyland coaches as well as Foden and ERF wagons throughout my career in transport the Leyland 600 engine always being a firm favourite. I adopted this handle for TNUK due to their being a few members with Gardner handles. (not starting handles!!!)
Cheers Leyland 600. in a Leopard and a Titan.

Hello Steve
Thanks for that marra. Didn’t realise they’ve replaced it with an Iveco Stralis rigid like
Is it in Markley’s livery or is in a white livery do you know?

Anybody remember or got a pic of Alan Causer’s Volvo F7 unit with tipper trailer, or John Garcia’s 3300 DAF, or Billy Dowell’s Fiat, or Mick Scott’s Merc, all based Carlisle in the 80s, or Brian Mc Nichol’s Transcontinental Ford Cockermouth, or any Fraser motors from Silloth?.. just to get back to the “Old time” theme of the forum
Youve brought-back some names from years ago, robroy. I remember Alan Causer from the L.D.o.Y. competitions at Carlisle in the mid/late 1970
s.
Also, ( Stuart ? ) Fraser , who delivered Carr`s flour to bakeries with his DAF 6 wheeler.
Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Yeh I think Alan was a Scouser who lived in Carlisle, I also think he done a bit of driver training. It was Steven Fraser who had the DAF you mention, his Dad and brother were also owner drivers, both called Peter.
