Seeing the photo of Tyson’s Atki 4wheeler brought back a lot of memories, George Charters was a regular at the Ribblesdale cafe at Longton with it and I allways enjoyed his company he was quite a character was WEE GEORGE.

If have a look on the ■■■■■■■ archive sites you will probably find references to Barrow Steel works also look out for a site about H W Snieder,he built the Barrow iron Works and then the Steel Works.There is a shot on this thread of a Furness Transport (Brady’s) Scammell 8 wheeler exiting the works arch on Hindpool Rd.loaded with steel. No, I’m don’t incomer from Down South!!! It’s just I never really wandered far from Wigton, and it’s only now I have started to wander into places like Keswick!!!

I would think it’s more likely to be an ex J G Stamper,Penrith,motor to me! Dennis.
I think 240G is going off the reg numbers being NAO20F & NAO21F on an earlier photo of JW Grahams Dennis.Maybe wrong though.
