Croome

jj72:
croome international (formerly david croome limited) has been a british company since 1972, but since around 1999 have operated trucks registered in lithuania (where they have an office) and more recently in ukraine, serbia and possibly other EE countries - they have just one UK driver left i understand.

david’s brother michael split from the company a few years back and runs about 10 trucks as croome logistics, same livery etc, out of freightflow depot at lenham doing EU and swiss work - hope that helps, asking for any particular reason robinhood?

I’m only asking as I’ve seen quite a few of these trucks and always thought it was odd and couldn’t conceive that with a name like “Croome” it would actually be a Latvian company. I’ve been wondering for a while but until yesterday I couldn’t remember the name of the company! Just that it was British sounding, red trucks with modern drawbar configuration (thats what I’ve seen anyway) with Latvian plates.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if Breda Transport still have any British drivers, or even any Dutch drivers or have they gone east for their drivers like alot of other Dutch companies?

their yard in leeds is just a unit of tunstal rd which is off dewsbury rd beeston. ive never seen any lories there must go there though but i havent seen them there.

Yeah David Croome or Croome International are British operation but now Lithunisia (LT) do little operation at moment… I notice before high number - Croome use Irish, british Plate number but now they do lots of LT plates with Lithunisa drivers but Now I am shocked i have talk with Croome Driver recently they take new MACCEDIONA (MK) - Former balkan country drivers and plate number on vechile too, they use double manning maccedionain. Now i have not seen any british or irish plate so increase today use LT or MK plate  bad news for us!
