load of lead misbehaving on way to milan

hi yer bob
thanks for the comment about my next motor,
drove one of those when i first went in the army.
was that on the lead contract out of northfleet
to prelli milano, britania metals. i think then load
back out of c&c bolanga

yeah, thats right lenny, the lead came from brittania northfleet, i remember it going to milan somewhere, but exact place escapes me at the moment.
we did lots of these loads, and i hated them, there was no real safe way to tie it down, and as soon as it started moving there was no stopping it.

yeah thats right bob, fork lift driver in milano use to moan
like hell if the load had moved and then wont both sides
stripped out in stead of one side, the best of it was lead
use to clear on site finished by mid day, then up to
conrezzo use to phone at about five o,clock for collections
the next day, then up to c&c but would not get away unitl
about eight o,clock friday night

Hi BOB and all yes my load does look a bit wonkey like my photos and i cannot tell you what that load is apart from the job came from the British Council. But there is a story about me picking up TIP Kangroo Trailers from near Le Bourget which put paid to our outward load scrap loads. Bob thanks for the call it was not not my turbo but a hole in the piston, the cost and labour involved i left brum without seeine brummie dave or the nightnurse with a new engine on tuesday pm . I think half step forward and 3 back. so there i am cursing waiting for the final bill with damp eyes and why should a hardened in steel driver like me have damp eyes over a piece of metal. well the news that week was of a lady that had lost her son,s and husband in hospital. so off i go hardened once more and then in the last week i lost a friend and today i,ve been to my first hindu funeral and watched his daughter almost 18 son 16 and our princess 9 speak up for daddy. So you,ll never see me crying over a piece of metal. Hope to see you & Bob/ Rusty before December as i may be shipping out for the far east before that…Alan
