LOL - too true, easy to find the right one and then reverse onto the one next to it… One of the reasons I make sure to check the seal number !!!

Wo, didn’t expect this level of response to my question.
thanks for the advise and help, i’ll let you know how i get on when i do it for the first time.
my father in law has told me to carry a pair of mole grips so if the worst happens and the red line breaks, to use the mole grips to block if off, so i can still drive, all be it without any brakes on the trailer, - not sure i like the idea too much but i suppose that it would help to get me off the road and await the mechanics.
