I have both PCV & LGV, I have only recently completed the DCPC but as I did not do the DCPC for PCV before September 2013, I will not be allowed to drive PCV until September 2014 when my DCPC card becomes active…
I passed my hgv 3 and pcv 1 in 1986 and I have been informed either DCPC would suffice as they are both the same, basic courses that is as hiab and ADR would only count to HGV entitlements.
I reactivated my licences last year and got laughed at when my bus mate (an instructor) told me I would finally have to sit the course

I also have PCV and HGV and did my final module in Feb. Card was issued Feb 14th and both PCV and HGV are valid with immediate effect.
