Good find pops but these Permissions are a bit of a worry 
does anybody know if they can be turned off or refused

mmm…ive never really taken notice of ‘permissions’ when downloading apps, but having read ur post and the finer detail i must say it got me worried. i.e. makign calls without you knowing. surely that cant be right…i woudl assume the permissions are standard and we may have to ‘trust’ the developers…

pay 99.99 quid for something that going to make calls on its own, send sms, edit my sms, read my contact data and most likley send it to a 3rd party who will profit from it or use it to fill my inbox with “targeted advertising” NO THANKS, im sticking with my tomtom for now
