Mine is the ■■■■■■■■■ RR outside the Casino in Monte Carlo. I’ve got me laptop with me and was interested in the old tacho/log sheet rules 'cos i never bothered with 'em,especially that daft 281 miles per day - that were fine for BRS drivers. :laughing:

We’ve got our own suite Dave.I sent the yacht back 'cos t’ashtrays were full and they’d filled it with petrol instead of derv. Off to have some snap with Ambromovitch in a bit -that Caspian Sea caviar were crap,just tasted like bloody fish eggs…

Pre flight check on the Brady Octopus,check the oil and watter,kick round all 16 tyres checking the ropes and ties if it was loaded,clean the windscreen and mirrors,“crack” the motor up and then back in to the digs and I was then allowed to sit down and have my breakfast !! Your spot on Dennis, I wasa bloody hard graft in those days gone by, but at least quite a lot of us that did it are still here to remember those good old days. a lot of my old mates that learned me how to do the job are no longer with us, but I will allways remember them as long as I live, my youngest son Nigel is still in the haulage game, driving for J.R.Adams, a well established Newcastle Firm, He has haulage in his blood.going back to his great Grandfather days, & Im very proud that he is doing it just like I did, Regards Larry.
