further to your question i got my refund for my test well peed off with ctt…when i booked my course i booked it up 2 months early so gave them plenty of notice and i told them i wanted proper artic, when it came to course they put me on them stupid little 10 tonner wagon and drags so was peed off, also when i booked i said ive got to weeks off so i could have any dates as long as in them 2 weeks, they replied do the course on first week so if u need retest do it on second week i said sound… well when it come to booking retest what a joke i payed my money on the mon 9th oct they said well sort retest as sson as possible i rang them up for the next two weeks no retest dates she replied to me that ring again the next tuesday bearing in mind this was three weeks from my test that she wil get me date, i rang up and she said no dates.so i said right forget ill have my test money back, i argued with them why cant they just book up a retest for next available slot no matter how long as long as there is a certain date they replied no…ive know decided to take course again after xmas and on a proper artic…but to pee me off even more i started new job at langdons on 23 rd oct it is now 25th of nov a bloke there as had 4 retests for class one in that time at garrets green.
when i was doing my course i over heard 2 of ctt instructors saying that they have got a very big back log of retest
i cant fault ctt training it was top notch but for booking a retest they are very slow, when i went up there to get my money back for retest there was the two wagon and drag outfits sitting there parked up… surely they could of been on retests
so full conclusion i will be booking up with a smaller school am looking for one man band outfit and full artic

Well done mate it was worth it in the end even if it didn’t seem like it at times. My attempts at geting my C+E were similar to yours. On my final test I had a small accident and hit some barriers at some road works. I decided I had failed and would not try again, so I gave up trying and just drove around the rest of the test chatting to the examiner . When we got back he told me i had passed and the accident wasn’t my fault.
Congrats again, by the way now the fun really begins

I just want to add, especially for those just starting training etc…
Like I said, the journey through my class 2 and 1 training and tests\retests had many ups and downs.
At times I was on a real downer after my fails…
The main thing is just stick with it and keep going and get back in there as soon as possible!
The sooner the better!!
Learn by your mistakes as I did 
Look at your result sheet and talk it over with your instructor.
If you decide to have extra training then take it along with you and look at it with your instructor and work on the minors\serious etc.
It does help!
One of the main things is nerves.
Test nerves are deadly, don’t let them get the better of you. It’s easier said than done.
As my instructor said to me yesterday, the examiner wants to see a professional driver who is in charge of the vehicle, not a learner driver.
