Had mine done at xmas for a winter special price of 350. About 1/2 a mpg better, but blimey does it pull now, had it done because i have an overdrive gearbox and on the limiter it is just in the green and as soon as you saw a hill it was down half a gear. 
As for the older generation on here there not chipped anymore it’s all done on the laptop nowadays where they remap the ecu.
I’m sure it was a company called powerchips that did the truck, I’ve been looking at a few recently for doing my car after what I saw what it’s done with the lorry. Did my Audi on fri and its a different machine all together, 12mpg different and a lot quicker, is just a wee box you can plug in or take off yourself.

i say chipping but i meant remapping, i do know the diference, i,ve been making cars go faster like this for years 
Superchips in Buckingham done my fh Volvo and it was more money than other people on the web but they have been doing remaps for over 25 years
roll on 7th april when my fh gets chipped 05 plate
had mine chipped now got 550+ horses ( plus the donkey driving it ) what a difference , i do the m62 regular and coming back up widny hill fully freighted is a breeze, fuel is on the up as well

I used to agree with you until recently when it can be done properly from the dealer, still under warranty, but only if they do it. That was the tractor one I was talking about there. I would’ve only done it through someone reputable, I don’t trust these guys guys with scotch locks and soldering irons. As I said I’ll see how it goes.
Let me get this right , a main dealer altered your vehicle from 460 to 500 & it has not invalidated your warranty ?
Im sure if DAF found out they would have their franchise back off them in seconds.
I know of a company that had two 2548 Actros’s chipped to 550+ when they where less than a year old,both blew the engine’s 
. Another company has 1 R580 that does 10mpg every day all day long,nothing else come’s close to it. They did’nt buy it new and suspect it was chipped but the owner does’nt “believe” in doing it to the rest of his truck’s. Funny when you see them trading in 07’s for new truck’s but this old '04 is kept on

why would daf take the franchise back off them?
some dealers will do it for the right customers
