great to meet up with new and old friends to
roll on next year as i would love to be part of it again
as bricktrotterxl has stated, you can’t really explain this experience unless you do it yourself, and even then no words can describe the feelings me and mrs v8actros felt, especially after rolling down that seafront,so many faces and hands a waving like mad.the highest point for us was the convoy itself both ways, the low point (if i can call it that) was saying our goodbyes on sunday night to our guest and his mother and grandfather…there were a few tears i can tell you,but mostly in the privacy of our truck, even monday morning driving back to newark was a sombre affair,we (bricktrotterxl, gogzy,me and mrs v8actros) were just so quiet, and to be honest i don’t think any of us have ever experienced such emotions.we also recieved some extremley complementry messages from our guests mother twice in 24hrs,one in particular touched us to tears,it read along the lines of; to andrew and caroline, thankyou for such a fun weekend, myself and callum really enjoyed ourselves so much,i have never seen him (callum) smile like that before.when you get that sort of feedback, how do you deal with it? well i can say we’ll most certainly be keeping in touch with them for sure. oh and by the way,the graphics on that truck in the photo seem so fitting for the day… well done to EVEYBODY involved in this charity/event,you are ALL special.

Hi all, sorry i’ve been quiet. Still recovering. Last Sunday was the best convoy ever. Such a great day was had by all. I am very proud of all those that took part and made this day a massive success. To all of you that made the journey, be proud. Your assistance was very much appreciated and i hope you got your rewards watching/ taking part in a very magical journey. To those that didn’t make it, there will be many years to come and yr assistance will always be welcome.
So how was my day? Well to be honest my weekend started with the return of Mr.Vain. Roy Humphreys did a first class job with the repairs and my brother, despite having his own truck to prep for the convoy, my brother spent an hour sorting out my lights. (Thanx bruv x) So then a couple of hours washing down. Saturday morning started with the collection of a golf buggy fo one of our members and then return home for polishing, assisted by Mr & Mrs Trazman, my boy chunky, Ash and Josh. (and any other poor sod that might of shown up!) Mr &Mrs Traz then went and collected a tractor unit for me. So, after a quick scrub up, i headed off for county hall. On arrival, i was greeted by 2 very enthusiastic young men standing on the edge of the roundabout (apparently Lug and Gogzy had been waiting there for about 30mins!) Gogzy taking photos as i swept around the ■■■■■ and up into the grounds of county hall. Greeted by Mr & Mrs Scottie, Bricktrotter, Mr & Mrs V8actros, Valhalla, Eastcoasttrucker, Marble, suffolk gold, Miss ECT and so many more. Within an hour, we were off to the chinese!! Anyway, a good time was had by all. I last looked at the clock at 00:45.
Waking at 05:30, my head was buzzing straight away. It was still dry, a great relief. Time to gather my thoughts. The next few hours just flew by.
At 10am, we moved off from our paking spots, lapping the park first and then led out of the grounds with a marching band and we were away. A gentle jog thru the outskirts of Norwich and out on to the A47. People lined the route to wave us on our way. A great turn out.

TBC… indeed rob,one could write a book regarding this experience but alas words and text wouldn’t do any justice at all,we’ve lost count of how many times we’ve told our little story to family/friends this week, and will continue to do so,facial and vocal expressions are much easier for us.bless you mate.
