Unless the wages are really exceptional I’d be telling them where to stick their job

If everyone has signed agreeing to this change then they are nuts and probably deserve to lose money.

Ive got a question about charging employee for damage when company insurance should cover any damages? My emloyer charging me for damage which wasnt my fault, but he not charging other drivers which done more serious damages and more expensive.
Does any one has any info about solicitors or simular cases? I`m realy upseted, becouse I really care about job.

What does your contract of employment say? Did you sign it to say they could deduct money from wages? If not, they cannot take it without your permission.
Just say No, you don’t go to work to pay for fuel or to repair the lorry, it is bad enough that drivers use their night out subsistence to pay for parking.
Although if you drilled holes in the roof or dashboard I would take it out of your face with a spade

Yes after I was told that main manager wasnt hapyy and want dismiss me, but he decided to keep me if I paye bill for couple of months, but now is more than 1,5 year. Driver manual sayes that driver can be charge for damage if amount is up to 250. My one is 1850. Other drivers more than my amount.

Are you saying that you’re still paying after 1 1/2 years or is this a different accident ?
If it’s a different accident then I’d have to say that you made a rod for your own back the first time you agreed to pay for damages.
If you’re saying that you’re still paying for an accident after 1 1/2 years then it’s time to have a word with your boss.

You are Member of the Union or you have a Citizen Advice Bureau,becouse just telling you you are an (Edited) wouldn’t help you.They could help you to get the Money back,if possible
Im not sure CAB or Union can do enything, cos when I had to sign form I hadnt lots of choice after I was told that I can lose job. On a letter was written that I have to pay full amount, but that was illegal action. Now I cant do much. Ive signed = Ive decided to paye. Ive tryed find some solicitor but without result.

Hi. Not much. But Ill try explain as best as I can: Driver has been put double decker on bay, but U have to reverse from blind side(not enough space, close to wall and concrete block. Im shunter and I had to pull it off for about 0,5 m drop deck, backing on a bay, than agin to same but lift deck. Finally I had to take it to the park and as soon as I pulled of for about 1,5m I`ve heard some noise, stoped immediately and founded that one of the doors were broken, just stalked on the concrete block. Amount on a bill =1850 from Gray Adams

This is one area I would suggest drivers need some training, tell them you had not been trained and tell them to buzz off, and then take them for unfair dismissal using ACAS or CAB
Meanwhile the company can take G&A to court about the trailer, Not fit for purpose…
Well it is better than a driver paying out a months wages just to go back to work

Its not company fault.... The bill came of G&A, Ive seen it, but didn`t get a copy - Possibly insurance covred damaged and company charging me extra - how to prove it?
