Changes to the CPC

ramone:
I need to refresh my ADR next year does this still go towards my CPC hours?
The one that really puzzles me is that the trainers who will know the course off by heart have to do 7 hours a year too , that’s another reason i personally think its a farce

Standard ADR without tanks gets you 21 hours, with Tanks (check they have it approved) gets you a total of 28 hours. You may find some TPs offer a “bundle” where you can do DH/WTD the day after the ADR exams to get your remaining 7 hours for your DCPC.

As an ADR Trainer, and qualified DGSA, I still have to do the ADR exams every five years, even though I’ll be taking the exams at the same time as my students. Personally I enjoy being tested in the way my candidates are tested.

I have tanks but thought it was a 3 day course to refresh so only 21 hours were awarded

I can’t comment on ADR refreshers, I don’t run them, the risk of exam fails is far too high.
I’ve met too many drivers who were helped to cheat in their previous exams, so they turn up “qualified” but knowing next to nothing.
