I dont know, a few 500hp drivers have been left in the wake
doesnt half bugger up the ratios.

Honda C50 C70 and C90 had those sort of filter set up .

caledoniandream:
I they reported in that there was no noise, we would take the filter out and check it, mosttimes they would be full after running to long on cheap diesel (Eastern Europe in the 70/80’s)

Your link locks like one of the disposable ones
What kind of cheap fuel was that?

The quality of Eastern Europe’s fuel was not up to standard of the Western fuel in the 70 /80 / 90, very cheap, especcially if you bought it of the army or of train drivers.
You lost probaly a third of your driving power and heavily smoke would occur, but there was nothing else to get.
Hence the reason many companies had a belly tank under the trailer with a better diesel (red prefferably  )
The deal was that time with the company I drove for that they would pay 0,40 German mark per liter, we got prices there between 0,15 and 0,35 mark per liter. There where no receipts, as most was bought in the grey area.
This fuel had defiantly a great influence on the engine oil and we changed it more often.

Coming back on the centrifugal filter, your best bet would be a scania breaker.
I just seen the Daf filters on HGV direct but I never worked with them, so I could not tell you if they are disposables.
If you buy a second hand Scania filter, take the top of and see if it spins freely and has not a lot play.
If you gone use it for making “Biodiesel” it’s maybe cheaper to buy a dedicated centrifugal filter.
