They are all over FB,
fallen out with their bank and drivers owed wages all around the £1200mark.

If you like to work for free crack on, but run the other way as the owner is full off lies and deceit tucked up 20 drivers with pay…

[quote=.See loads of Stobbies on the A5 less than five mins from Crick parked in laybys. Often wondered why.
see quite a few parked up within 5-6 miles of the Workington depot too . why not park in the yard where there is a shower/ toilet ■■? and some security (cameras) cant be any noisier than a layby.

Is this not something to do with there being two stobarts, one owns the yard at crick and there own park for free but others, including the other stobarts have to pay?
Strange company. Could never really find out much about them even though they were on same estate as my place. They have disappeared now, but the gaffers million pound farm which they bought and renovated is just down the road (on the long straight that runs to Willand). They ran a couple of tippers as far as I know but got revoked by TC in 2016. Suddenly in summer 2017 they are back, with the missus in charge and a fleet of 20 brand new rented MAN TGX units, on container work. I thought it was dodgy and wouldn’t last.
Cb plant hire was formed from what was previously know as ctr commercials after Sinead (real name Maria Sinead Berry) and her husband split. He left when she had an affair with one of the fitters there and she went on to form cb plant with herself and her father as directors.
They ran the original ctr commercials’ 7 or 8 muck away 8 wheelers as their own and the drivers were all trampers. They were based from a small unit / workshop in Willand.
Over the last few months these 8 wheelers have been being sold off on eBay. At the time of writing this they have 4 left, still on eBay.
Cb plant also ran approximately 15 tractors from Hitchcocks yard in willand. These were all hired in and did (for the most part) container work.
Along side this was the recovery/roadside assistance which was the brainchild of the fitter who was nobbing the boss woman… from memory, they had 3 wreckers, a couple of sprinters and a transit. One wrecker disappeared from fb posts some time ago and the other two are also on eBay (or can be found through completed listings) as I write this. In my opinion, it was never going to be a sustainable business running £400k kit and recovering horseboxs on a Sunday afternoon.
The staff turnover rate was incredible, Drivers would be openly slandered by the office team untill they left of their own accord or were sacked for some blown out of proportion reason so the new flavour of the day (usually a less than £9 p/h desperado) could have the outgoing drivers truck.
Wages were never forthcoming, and a fairly regular occurrence was to allow a driver to go two or three weeks without wages, then sack them after the driver had enough… and never pay up!
Their was a real sense of stupidity about the whole operation when looking from the outside in. Lots of outwardly visible wealth, however nothing to really back it up. A quiet week would see drivers without wages, and a busy week would see a new bmw m5 for the Romeo fitter, only to see it written off a few days later but no ability to replace it (true story)
In all, not a good Company to work for. They would lie and lie about how big a great they were untill they were blue in the face but actually achieved very little except leave unpaid invoices and ■■■■■■ off drivers everywhere. I should know…
Was the fitter blind? Have you seen the state of Sinead?

Jaysus take more than a BMW as an incentive to climb aboard that
Can see why the fitter needed an Hi-Ab!
Brutal but funny

After reading the Devon Post report anyone would be mad to work for them.
Sinead: “I’ve been living on beans on toast for two weeks”
I think Sinead is lying judging by her photo
