EDIT to emphasise that I said third-world driving, not drivers. We imported a third-world driving culture; but in order to achieve this, we imported third-world drivers who are now irretrievably embedded in our systems as instructors, enforcers, legislators, lawyers and so on. Germany, another country whose driving culture was well-developed has suffered exactly the same fate, starting with the opening of East Europe. Third-world driving doesn’t start with India, it always started at the old borders with the Iron Curtain (with the exception of Paris and the Wirral of course!).
I could have written these exact words about my country.
Ah, but Frangers, you have failed to factor in the radical right conspiracy theories.
In Carryfast’s alternative world, anyone not in agreeance with his opinions, is a lefty muppet. Anything can be assumed and read into an article, not reinforcing his view.

Lapsed truck driver ?? I think that applies to a lot of us ‘more mature’ retired knights of the road. I spent my whole working life ‘on the road’ , UK and a bit of Europe. But now if I do a journey in the car I have to rely on my Sat Nav.
Oh the shame, how are the mighty fallen.
